Can you withdraw cash for free in Thailand?
Mostly no. Most bank ATMs in Thailand charge foreign cards a fee. Thai banks charge foreign cards THB 220–350 per withdrawal; there are practically no fee-free ATMs.

Should I pay in THB or in my home currency?
If the ATM offers to charge you in your home currency, always choose THB (without conversion). The ATM's own conversion (DCC) often costs 5–10%.
How do I avoid ATM fees in Thailand?
Fees are charged mainly by: Kasikornbank (KBank) (THB 250–350), Government Savings Bank (GSB) (THB 250–350). The fee is shown on screen before the withdrawal, so you can still cancel. Use the ATMs marked as free on the map. Avoid Euronet and other independent operators, especially at airports and in tourist areas. Withdraw a larger amount once rather than small amounts several times, and check before your trip what your own bank charges for foreign withdrawals.
